Just like Daddy...

Kyle isn't just an amazing hubby, but an amazing Daddy too and the perfect role model for our little men to learn and grow from to become big men. Kyle tends to household chores quickly and efficiently. He has recently taken to changing the oil in our vehicles instead of spending his hard earned money to pay someone else to do it. Even better he includes our boys in the process and has even told me that he wants our boys to learn from him and help him with vehicle upkeep someday. He has even said that maybe when it comes time for the boys to drive, we can find a fixer upper and the boys and him can take what they have learned over the years leading up to that time and work on the car together. Well, he is starting the boys early because a couple weeks ago Kaden helped his Daddy change the oil in my car, and just a couple days ago Kaleb helped change the oil on Kyle's car. We have such good and eager little helpers!
Kyle even put Kaleb's big wheel on the tire ramps he uses to do car work

Kyle was doing some other general maintenance on his car...fiddling around underneath the engine, clanking tools and getting dirty. Kaleb saw what his Daddy was doing and wanted to do it too (he looks up to his Dad so much and wants to do everything like he does), so Kyle set up Kaleb his own little repair shop for him to work on his big wheel.
Both Kyle and Kaleb working on their repairs

Of course nothing really needed to be fixed on it, but Kaleb had fun getting to use his Daddy's tools, poking those tools in spaces and groves, and tightening screws (hopefully tightening and not loosening). Kaleb was underneath his bike for about 20 minutes exploring the bottom of it. Kaleb loves to explore just about anything...whether it be my closet, my purse, or the pages of a really good book.
Such a good repair man!

Even though I think so far the ages of 4 and 2 have been the most challenging...I also think that right now they are at such fun ages. I have taken to writing journals to each of them, that I hope to continue and add to until the boys go off on their own. My purpose is to convey in words what I am privileged to experience each day, capturing little moments in time so that they can look back on their lives and see how much I cherished my time with them and I have felt so blessed to be their mom. There are just so many precious memories that are made with them in the course of a day, I just can't imagine not recording them somehow. They are growing up so fast and I don't want to forget a single thing.
