Love is in the air and everywhere...

I have 3 loves of my life...Kyle: my oh so handsome, good sense of humored, and hard working hubby...Kaleb: my shy yet tender hearted, inquisitive, and dramatic (gets it from me and believe me everybody lets me know that) oldest son...and Kaden: my sweet, outgoing, talkative and lovable baby. My tank is full in the love department and I don't just use Valentine's Day to tell my loves that I love them.

On Valentine's Day I wanted them to know how much I loved them in an extra special way. My true love was away for work, so it was just me and my little loves for the day.
Kaleb woke up and came down the stairs with paper, markers, and scissors in hands saying he had to do something. I was finishing getting things for breakfast together so I wasn't really paying attention to what he was doing until he came over with a heart shaped piece of paper. He handed it to me and said "Happy Valentine's Day Mommy." What a sweatheart! He cut it out and everything. It made my Day!
I started the day off with some heart shaped cinnamon rolls, pink milk for that added effect (strawberry syrup), festive heart plates, cups, and straws, a love note to the boys ("I love you too much" which is something I tell them all of the time) from me drawn on our window (using window markers), and heart shaped balloons scattered about. It was a fun scene for them to wake up to and started the day off with lots of love!
I passed on what I would typically give them on a holiday such as this (i.e. chocolate or a little toy) and invested more into giving them extra hugs kisses, and "I love yous." They got the "fun stuff" from their grandparents:)
For the grandparents we did an art activity involving feet and handprints. It said,
"We love you from the bottom of our hearts, to the tips of our toes." The heart
shape was made with their hands. I hope it is something they will all treasure.
