As a child we took trips as a family to visit my grandparents in Texas and one of my fondest memories of those trips was always one thing...how beautiful and detailed my Grandma and Grandpa's yard is (thanks to hard work and dedication from my Grandpa). He has flowers, vegetables, and fruits growing throughout his yard and it is full of birds and butterflies. I remember when I was little I loved to explore the yard and now on this visit it was my boys' turn. They loved being in the yard and looking at all of the different plants. Not only is the yard beautiful, but it is so peaceful. To me it was like spending an afternoon in heaven on Earth, it was the most tranquil experience I have had for awhile. I laid under the big tree that grows in the center of lawn for at least thirty minutes (in mom time that is a long time considering you usually don't have more than five minutes to do something). I just looked up in the tree and saw the birds flying around and listened to their calls. Kaden even joined me for a short while, but then he got disinterested. I probably could have stayed their longer if my boys allowed me. In fact I probably could have fallen asleep under that tree.
My Grandpa grows grapes in his hard and they look so tasty. Both boys love grapes and were very interested in picking some to eat, but I had to explain to them how they weren't ripe enough yet :)
Kaden trying to pick some grapes
Kaleb loved putting his hand in the fountain and splashing it all around
I love how Kaleb is so animated and has so many faces to him...this is the cheesey face
This is a new one he does where he likes to cover his ears for some reason
His sweet face
His angelic face
I could just squeeze those cute little cheeks
Getting along..............for the moment
Phew! Texas was SMOKIN' HOT!
I just love his chubby beat up hands...he is such a rough lil' guy (he gets it from his brother)
The tree I spent my mommy time under
My Grandpa has several hummingbird feeders throughout his yard
and the pint sized birds like to frequent them very often
