Breckenridge: Part One

After arriving in Breck the first thing we had to do was check out the room and the view and we ordered some pizza at the boys' request. The boys were just chomping at the bit to go splash around in the lodge's pool, so after dinner we rummaged through our bags to find our swimsuits, which hadn't been worn since last Summer, and made our way down to the pool area. While at the pool the boys enjoyed water fights and aquatic animal imitations, and Kyle and I enjoyed our switching off of child duty to go grab some time in the hot tub. After our dip in the water we enjoyed some quality family time cuddling and watching a Disney classic together. It felt so perfect just the four of us together snuggling while the snow came down outside...heaven!

Dressed to impress...bahahahahaha!

Like father like sons (we were watching a movie here)

Pajama twins

Kyle does this fun thing with the boys right before bed on their backs and there are hand motions that go with it too: Criss cross, applesauce, spiders crawling up your back ready to attack, snakes slithering down, snakes slithering down, cool breeze, tight squeeze, now you got the shiverees. It is so cute when the boys ask their Daddy to do it to over and over and when they giggle so hard when he tickles them.

The next morning after a pancake breakfast made by Kyle (and the boys allowed us to sleep in a little too), we headed to Carter Park to test out the sledding hill. Despite the lack of a lift taking us to the top of the hill (Kyle was the lift for the boys dragging them up the hill on the sled, such a good Daddy) we had a fun yet chilly time. The whole time we were up in Breck it snowed, but it was a nice snow that came down oh so gently and politely. We didn't last too long on the sledding hill just because the boys got tired and so did their Daddy ;). Sledding really does take a lot out of you!

He looks like a professional lol

My daredevil hubby going down on his stomach

The goggles really helped to keep the snow out
of the boys' faces as they raced down the hill

Snow angels...a favorite snow activity of Kaleb's

Look at my baby just covered in snow and he never
complained of being cold once, such a good sport

This trip helped us to decide that next Winter the boys will be put in ski lessons for sure (guess we better start saving now lol). We just loved being up there and want to be able to do it more and get on those beautiful slopes. I might even take a lesson myself. I know how to snowboard and Kyle is an awesome snowboarder, but I think maybe just maybe I will enjoy skiing more.

Stay tuned for more snowy adventures in Breckenridge: Part Two:)
