Wow January went by fast! I can't believe it is already over.
We had such a busy month...Kyle and I went to San Francisco for the first time (and got to visit Katelin and Charlie too), I got to fly with Kyle as my pilot on a commercial jet for the first time, Kaleb started at a new school, we started doing some projects around the house, both Kaleb and Kaden started doing gymnastics (Christmas gift from Grammy and Papa), and just last weekend Kyle and I took a spontaneous trip to Austin, TX...phew!! Makes me exhausted thinking about all the fun we had in January.

Kyle took this picture on his iphone on one of his flights this past month. So beautiful! I am jealous of the view that he gets from his cockpit at 37,000 feet. He says that he gets to see some pretty neat things from up there. He never complains that his office view never stays the same.

On our flight back from San Fran after we landed back in the Springs I got to sit in the cockpit with Kyle. It was different than I thought it would be...the chairs were surprisingly comfy and there were a lot more buttons than I thought there would be, not a lot of space to move around though.
Since we met up with Katelin and Charlie in San Fran, I was able to get the painting she did for me. I was so excited to bring it back home with me. I think it turned out great and it only took me about 2 hours to have it hanging up in my house the morning after we got back:)
Kaleb loves his new school and I was kinda nervous he wouldn't. You see he went from going to school 2 days a week for 2 hours, to 4 days a week for 3 hours. The decision was made to switch him to this new school because he is now receiving free speech services through the school. My concern for this change was not necessary though because not once has Kaleb complained about getting up a little earlier and going to school more frequently. He loves it and is doing great, and that makes me a happy mama!
This welcome sign was waiting in our room we stayed in at my cousin's...so sweet!
I sadly didn't get very many pictures from our Austin trip last weekend, but despite the lack of pictures we had such a good time. It is fun to be spontaneous and go somewhere on a whim. I called my cousin Ryan last Friday and asked him if it would be ok if he could get us from the airport and he so graciously offered for us to stay with him. Ryan and Monet were so welcoming and such good company. Ryan even taught me how to cross stitch. While we were in Austin in between eating at awesome restaurants and shopping at vintage and antique stores, we went to visit Kyle's good friend Laura at her restaurant the Vince Young Steakhouse. Laura treated us to a lovely evening and extraordinary food...hands down the best steak I EVER had.
February is shaping up to be a busy month too with a planned trip to go on a sleigh ride in Breckenridge, birthday celebrations, babies being born (my cousin Brian and Krystal just welcomed Katelyn Elyse this morning), and lots of other fun stuff thrown in...who knows maybe another trip somewhere else (I love flying for free!). With this cold and snow the beach sounds good to me. Kyle will be all over the country this month and now I will be able to show the boys just exactly where with this Daddy Locator I created.
