Kaleb played tee ball for the first time this summer through the Community Center on the Macaws. It was a great experience, but right now tee ball might be too slow a sport for my get up and go, energy filled son. At times he found himself drawing pictures in the dirt, or discussing things like superheroes while in the field with his teammates (the reason I know is because I overheard a conversation once). When he was focused though he went for the ball full force, ran as fast as he could to each base, and while batting smacked that ball. He had some great hits, and had a great season. The most important thing is that he had fun, and fun he had! He always had lots of fans watching him play and I want to send out a huge thanks to everyone who came to watch him (special thanks to my Mom and my Aunt Deb who were there for every single game...you guys are the best!). You don't know how much it meant to him that you all were there for him.
In other news, his gymnastics coach discussed with yesterday about considering putting Kaleb on a pre team because based on his abilities he has great potential in gymnastics and could be on team one day. The other day while at gymnastics with Kyle he did a front hand spring on his own, and I think before we know it he will be doing back hand springs on his own. His strength is ridiculous and his stamina is amazing. The Summer Olympics start up today and I would love for Kaleb to watch some of the Men's Gymnastics competitions to see what he thinks of it all...who knows we might have a future Olympian, but I am going to let him choose his path :)
